Westchester, NY native Brett Pesce just finished his first year at the University of New Hampshire helping the Wildcats qualify for the NCAA Tournament. Pesce played the most games of any UNH freshman this season. With two d-men graduating from New Hampshire, Pesce should expect to shoulder a bigger load in 2013-14.

Brett Pesce is the type of defenseman who flies under the radar almost on a nightly basis. He’s dilligent in responsibilities, work ethic and habits. Pesce gives his team a sure thing from the back end. He makes a good first pass and has stick skills.

The son of Islanders’ 1978 first-round pick Steve Tambellini, Adam Tambellini has spent the past two seasons playing in the British Columbia Hockey League as he prepares to take the step to the NCAA at the University of North Dakota. Adam finished tied for third in the league with 36 goals this past season. He also led the BCHL in playoff scoring with 10 goals in 17 games as he helped Surrey win the league title. The 6’2, 158-pound winger looks to bulk up while playing for North Dakota.

Adam Tambellini is a big scorer in the BCHL. He will take his talents to the University of North Dakota where he will continue to learn good habits and be placed in situations to succeed. Tambellini has a very good skill set and the ability to find soft areas in the offensive zone to score.

“I think it adds to the excitement, not knowing where and when you’re going. Then, all of a sudden hearing your name get called, there a lot of emotions and obviously a lot of happiness.”
