Skip ahead: Bridgeport/Stockton prospects | Amateur/Europe prospects

American Hockey League: Bridgeport Sound Tigers (1-4-1-0, 5th in Northeast Division, 15th in Eastern Conference)
Oct. 26: Crunch 5, Sound Tigers 0

On Saturday Oct. 26 the Bridgeport Sound Tigers fell to the Syracuse Crunch 5-0.  The Crunch scored all five of their goals in the second period. After a scoreless first 20 minutes, Syracuse tallied twice in the first 2:51 of the middle frame and three times in the final 4:43. Goaltender Ken Reiter stopped all nine Syracuse shots he faced in relief during the third period.

The Sound Tigers travel north to face the Hartford Wolf Pack on Wednesday, Oct. 30, and will face the Worcester Sharks in a road tilt on Friday, Nov. 1. Then they return to Bridgeport to host the Norfolk Admirals on Saturday, Nov. 2.

ECHL: Stockton Thunder (2-1-0-0, 3rd in Pacific Division, 4th in Western Conference)
Oct. 25: Thunder 5, Condors 4

On Friday Oct. 25, the Stockton Thunder defeated the Bakersfield Condors in their first road contest of the season by a score of 5-4. Bakersfield opened up the scoring just 37 seconds into the first period, but the Thunder countered with five of the next six goals, and outshot the Condors 44-24. With the win, Stockton improved to 2-1-0-0. They head home to face the Utah Grizzlies in a two-game series this Friday and Saturday.

Victor Crus Rydberg helps team end skid
An assist from Islanders prospect Victor Crus Rydberg helped the Plymouth Whalers (Ontario Hockey League) turn around their seven-game losing streak. Crus Rydberg has 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in 14 games this season. Crus Rydberg is on a three-game point streak and has found the score sheet in seven of his last eight games.

Russo continues hot start
On Friday Oct. 25, Islanders prospect Robbie Russo and the No. 2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (National Collegiate Hockey Conference) defeated Minnesota-Duluth 3-2 to the start their weekend series. Russo had two assists in the contest, and is up to six points (two goals, four assists) in six games. The defenseman has found the score sheet in four of Notre Dame’s six games this season.
