The Islanders finished last season 1-2-0 against Boston, dropping the only meeting at Nassau Coliseum 4-1. The Isles’ lone win of the season over the Bruins came during the team’s late-season run in which they picked up at least one point in 13 of 14 games. Josh Bailey scored both Islanders goals in the 2-1 victory at TD Garden on April 11, while Evgeni Nabokov stopped 30 of the 31 shots he faced.

Bruins player to watch
David Krejci - Forward

With 13 points (two goals, 11a) in 12 games, Krejci leads the Bruins in scoring to start the season. The Czech Republic native has earned at least one point in all but two of his games so far this season. He’s also tied for second on his team and ninth in the NHL with a plus-9 rating.
