AMATEUR PROSPECTS:

Victor Crus Rydberg helps team end skid
An assist from Islanders prospect Victor Crus Rydberg helped the Plymouth Whalers (Ontario Hockey League) turn around their seven-game losing streak. Crus Rydberg has 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in 14 games this season. He's on a three-game point streak and has found the score sheet in seven of his last eight games.

Loic Leduc Helps Sweep Series

This weekend the Cape Breton Eagles and Islanders prospect Loic Leduc swept the Acadie-Bathurst Titans. Leduc tallied his second goal of the season in Friday’s 4-1 win. He followed up that performance with a plus-3 night in Saturday’s 6-2 victory.

Adam Pelech Keeps on Rolling
Although the Erie Otters could not capitalize in their final home this weekend before an eight-game road trip, Islanders prospect Adam Pelech added to his total of 15 points in 17 games this season (five goals, 10 assists). Erie’s alternate captain notched an assist in each of the Otters’ two games. The 2012 third-round selection currently has the most points of all Islanders prospects playing in the Canadian Hockey League (QMJHL, OHL, WHL).
