Blue Jackets player to watch
Jack Johnson - Defenseman

Playing on the top pairing and first power play unit, Jack Johnson anchors the Columbus Blueline. The 6’1, 236 lbs. defenseman is a physical force with some offensive upside, having scored 35 or more points in the last three full seasons. Johnson, a likely US Olympian, played a season-high 27:39 against the Islanders on Oct. 5.

Islanders Storylines
• Jackets Feelin’ Blue: The Blue Jackets have dropped five straight games heading into Saturday’s action. Nationwide Arena hasn’t been an advantage for Columbus, who are 3-6-0 on home ice this season.
• Bounce Back: The Islanders were shut out for the first time on Thursday, but had scored at least two goals in the prior 15 games. The puck should find twine again on Saturday.
• Halfway Home: The Islanders have played two games of a four-game road trip. Puck drop on Saturday kicks off a back-to-back weekend, as the Isles travel to Montreal for a Sunday game.
