PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATES

American Hockey League: Bridgeport Sound Tigers (4-8-1-1), 5th in Northeast Division, 15th in Eastern Conference)
Sound Tigers 2, Springfield Falcons 3

Dallas Jackson scored his first career AHL goal and Anders Lee notched his fourth of the year, but it wasn’t enough as the Bridgeport Sound Tigers fell 3-2 to the Springfield Falcons on Friday. The game remained scoreless until late in the second period when the Falcons tallied twice in less than two minutes and scored the eventual winner at the start of third period. The Sound Tigers rallied, closing the gap to one, but could not complete the comeback.

Sound Tigers 1, Hartford Wolf Pack 4

The Sound Tigers hosted the Harford Wolf Pack on Saturday, but could not earn a weekend split, falling 4-1. The Wolf Pack gained the lead just 44 seconds into the opening period and didn’t relinquish it the rest of the game. Mike Keenan put the Sound Tigers on the board with his first career AHL goal. Next weekend the Sound Tigers look to rebound with a two-game road trip against Providence and Worcester.

ECHL: Stockton Thunder (7-4-0-1), 2nd in Pacific Division, 4th in Western Conference
Stockton Thunder 1, Ontario Reign 4

Although the Stockton Thunder opened the scoring against the Ontario Reign, they allowed four unanswered and lost 4-1. Thunder defensemen Mike Dalhuisen and Sean Escobedo were called up by the Sound Tigers, so the Thunder blueline had a new-look against the Reign this past Friday.

Stockton Thunder 3, Bakersfield Condors 4 SO

Following Friday’s defeat, the Thunder hoped to rebound against in-state rival Bakersfield Condors on Sunday, but fell 4-3 in a shootout. Bakersfield opened up a 2-0 lead in the second period, but a three-goal third period gave Stockton the advantage. The Condors struck back with just 2:36 remaining forcing a shootout and scored the only goal of the five-round skills competition for the win.

Griffin Reinhart - Edmonton Oil Kings (WHL)

Following an eight-game road trip, Griffin Reinhart and the Edmonton Oil Kings returned home to face the Moose Jaw Warriors and Swift Current Broncos.
