Kyle Okposo and Frans Nielsen each scored for the Islanders, but a Vincent Lecavalier hat trick powered the Flyers to a 5-2 victory Oct. 26 at Nassau Coliseum. Former Isles captain Mark Streit had two assists in his return to Long Island. Captain Claude Giroux also had two assists in the game.

After a slow start to the season, Claude Giroux is heating up. The Flyers captain leads the team with 13 points (2g/11a) and has points in five of his last six games (2g/4a). Giroux is a crafty playmaker and had two assists against the Islanders in their first meeting this season.

Vanek Returns: After missing five games with an upper-body injury, Thomas Vanek made his presence felt in his return, scoring two goals Friday against the Penguins.
Feelin' the Love: The Isles are 3-2-0 in their last five trips to Philadelphia, with two of their three victories having come in shootouts.
Cizzlin’: Casey Cizikas is riding a four-game point (3g/1a) streak after assisting on Colin McDonald’s goal Friday.
