Morning Skate Updates - Islanders vs. Capitals 11\/30\/13
Updates from the Isles morning skate at Nassau Coliseum
The Islanders host the Washington Capitals tonight, wrapping up their seventh back-to-back set of the season. Players and coaches were on the ice for an optional skate this morning at Nassau Coliseum. Here are some news, notes and quotes from today's skate.

Lineup Notes/Changes:
Josh Bailey draws back into the lineup after sitting out Friday's game and is slotted in on the second line. Peter Regin is also back in tonight for the Islanders while Brock Nelson is out.

Bridgeport call-up Calvin de Haan makes his season debut tonight. de Haan is in for Radek Martinek and head coach Jack Capuano said he's leaning towards pairing de Haan with Thomas Hickey.

de Haan:  A shoulder injury limited Calvin de Haan to only three games last season for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, but the 12th overall pick in the 2009 draft is healthy and earned his second career call-up to the Islanders. In 17 games with the Sound Tigers this season, de Haan has one goal and two assists. de Haan's Islanders debut came on Dec. 15, 2011 against the Dallas Stars.

"I can skate the puck up, move it quickly, make good breakout passes and block some shots on the PK," de Haan said. "I'm going to try my best to stay up here for the rest of the season."

Nilsson Starts:
Anders Nilsson makes his first start for the Islanders since Mar. 10, 2012, a 2-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils. The Swedish goaltender appeared in one game this season for the Islanders, stopping 12-of-13 shots in a relief effort Nov. 23 against Philadelphia.

"He's  excited," Capuano said. "I thought when he went into Philadelphia, he played well for us. We need our goaltender to step up and have a good game tonight. He's a confident kid and he's ready to battle."
