The drama from the Islanders-Penguins playoff series has carried over to the regular season, as the season series is tied 1-1 with both teams scoring the winning goals in the final two minutes of play. Josh Bailey scored the game-winner with 1:40 to go on Oct. 25, while Crosby scored with 1:16 left to play in the most recent meeting on Nov. 22. Win or lose, the Penguins bring out the best in the Islanders.

Penguins player to watch
Chris Kunitz - Left Wing

Chris Kunitz has thrived on Sidney Crosby’s wing, becoming a point-per-game player over the past two seasons. Kunitz scored 52 points (22g/30a) in 48 games last year and has 27 points (14g/13a) in 28 games during the current campaign. The Regina, SK, native is 12th in league scoring and has six points (3g/3a) in his past four games. Kunitz scored twice and added an assist Nov. 22 against the Islanders.

Islanders Storylines
Third Meeting: This is the third meeting between the Pens and Isles, after splitting the first two games in Pittsburgh. Both contests were decided in the final two minutes of play.
De Haan: Calvin de Haan made his season debut for the Islanders Saturday. De Haan played 20:07, blocked two shots, had four hits and skated to an even rating.
• Homestand: The Islanders wrap up a four-game homestand tonight before heading out for five straight on the road.
