|Kings player to watch
Anze Kopitar - Center
Kopitar enters the game as the Kings leading scorer, posting 24 points (7g/17a) in 29 games. The career-King recently hit the 500-point mark, in only his 549th NHL game, and has a career scoring clip of .90 points-per-game. Kopitar has 13 points (6g/7a) in his last 16 games.
• Coast-to-Coast: The Islanders are in California for games against Los Angeles, Anaheim and San Jose. They are currently the top three teams in the Pacific division, so it won’t be easy trekking through the golden coast.
• Streaking: Andrew MacDonald (1g/2a) and Kyle Okposo (2g/2a) are riding three-game point streaks. MacDonald has two goals in his last two games against Western conference teams.
• No Quick, No Nabby: Evgeni Nabokov and Kings starter Jonathan Quick will both sit out tonight's game with injuries. Both goalies were also sidelined in the Nov. 14 meeting.

Andrew MacDonald on the Nov. 14 game against LA.
“We played really well against LA when they came (to Long Island). We should have won that game being up heading into the third.”
