2012-13 season series (3-0-0)

The Islanders swept the season series from the Panthers last season, winning all three games in regulation. The Isles won two meetings at Nassau Coliseum (3-0, 5-2) and took the lone game in Sunrise 4-3, as Casey Cizikas scored the winner at 12:55 of the third period. Evgeni Nabokov posted a 26-save shutout on Mar. 24 and was in goal for all three wins.

LAST GAME:
Apr. 15, 2013: NYI 5, FLA 2 - RECAP, BOX SCORE, HIGHLIGHTS
Panthers player to watch
Brad Boyes - Forward

The former Islander faces his old team for the first time tonight. Boyes had 10 goals and 25 assists for the Islanders last year and has 12 goals and nine assists for the Panthers this season. The Mississauga, ON, native had a five-game point streak (3g/4a) snapped in the Panthers last game, but the former 40-goal scorer shouldn’t be taken lightly in the offensive zone. Boyes will shake a few hands before the game, but come puckdrop, it’ll be all business between him and the Islanders.

Islanders Storylines
Road Streak: The Islanders have won seven consecutive games away from Nassau Coliseum.
Seven of Eight: The Islanders have won seven of their last eight games and are currently riding a season-high four-game winning streak.
Tavares is NHL's First Star: John Tavares was named the NHL’s first star of week (ending Jan. 12) after posting 10 points (4g/6a) in four games.
De Haan: Calvin de Haan has a four-game point streak (1-5-6).
Comebacks: The Islanders have trailed at some point in each of their last five road wins.
Poulin: Kevin Poulin has won five straight games.
