PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATES

Bridgeport Sound Tigers:  25-24-1-4, 4th in Northeast Division, 10th in Eastern Conference

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers continued their recent roll, sweeping a set of three games in three days over the weekend. The Sound Tigers – who have won 11 of their last 13 games – had two dramatic, come-from-behind wins over the weekend en route to the sweep.

On Friday, Bridgeport staged a late comeback over the Hartford Wolf Pack, scoring three times in the third period for a 4-3 win. Trailing 3-2 with under five minutes to play, Anders Lee scored twice in the final 2:25 stealing two points for the Sound Tigers. On Saturday, the Sound Tigers rallied again to beat the Adirondack Phantoms 3-2. Down 2-1 early in the third, Chris Langkow scored a short-handed goal, setting the stage for Aaron Ness’s game-winner midway through the period. Anders Nilsson picked up his second win in as many days, but gave way to Kenny Reiter in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Providence. Reiter picked up where Nilsson left off, stopping 40-of-41 shots for the win. Anders Lee scored his team-leading 22nd goal of the season while Joel Broda scored the game winner.

Defenseman Ryan Constant scored the game-winner in the extra frame. During regulation Corey Trivino had a three-point game (one goal, two assists) while Joey Martin opened the scoring late in the first period. Sunday the Thunder ended the road trip on a high beating the Eagles 5-4. Goaltender Brian Foster made 29 saves picking up his 19th victory this season. Two players, Adam Brace and Mathiue Gagnon, scored their first goals as members of the Thunder over the weekend. Brace’s first came in Friday’s loss, but he scored twice in Sunday’s win.
