Morning Skate Updates 3\/4\/14
News, notes and quotes from the Islanders morning skate at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg.

The Islanders kick off a four-game road trip through Western Canada tonight against the Winnipeg Jets.

Tonight marks the beginning of the end of the Islanders Western visits, as after this road trip, the team will not leave the Eastern Time zone for the rest of the season.

The Islanders are looking to get back on track against a flying Jets team, who are 10-3-0 in their last 13 games and are fighting for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Ahead of tonight’s game, the Islanders held a morning skate at Winnipeg’s MTS Centre. Here are some news, notes and quotes from today’s skate.
