The Islanders in cooperation with Paton Publishing, have launched a new web-based curriculum resource for grade 3, 4, 5 & 6 teachers in Queens, Brooklyn, Nassau and Suffolk counties. Building on the success of the Islanders School programs- We're All Islanders School Assembly Program, and Islanders Literacy Day- the Islaners organization has created hockey themed lesson plans covering elements of reading, writing, math, physical education and health studies. The We’re All Islanders School Assembly Program was created to stress the importance of teamwork in life to students across Long Island. During this interactive assembly members of the Islanders office staff visit local schools drawing comparisons between a hockey team and a school. New York Islanders Literacy Day
The New York Islanders Literacy Day Program was created to bring about awareness to elementary school students about the importance of reading. It is important to show children that one of the most fundamental building blocks to life is knowing how to read regardless of what profession you end up in. Local schools around Long Island are invited to write in to the Islanders and request that their school be picked to participate in this school assembly program. Hockey with a Heart
Throughout the course of the season the Islanders will partner with various not for profit organizations while holding fundraising campaigns. These organizations will receive fundraising dollars through the sale of tickets, will receive in game recognition, and will be onsite for select Islanders home games. RexCorp Islanders Inspire
The RexCorp Islanders Inspire program is designed for companies on Long Island to take and active role in affording positive life experiences to thousands of Long Island children. Through this program children who would not be able to attend an Islanders game are given tickets as well as bus transportation to attend a game. These game experiences have created a lifetime of memories and will continue to create memories for the families who receive these tickets. This season the New York Islanders are asking all schools to take part in our ticket stub collection program. Schools are encouraged to tell their students to collect as many Islanders ticket stubs from the 2009-10 season. The school that collects the most ticket stubs and mails them in will win a great New York Islanders I.C.E. Tour experience for all the children in their school. Schools should mail in all ticket stubs by the end of the Islanders regular season to the following: Community Relations Department-Ticket Stub Program, 1255 Hempstead Turnpike, Uniondale NY 11553.
The winner of this season’s ticket stub program will be chosen at the end of May so make sure to mail in your ticket stubs.
Bossy's Bunch
Islanders Hall of Famer Mike Bossy, along with the generous donations from Islanders fan, have donated seats for sick and recovering children to experience Islanders games throughout the season. Kids from organizations such as Make-a-Wish & Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation not only get to experience the Islanders in person, but they receive t-shirts and hats thanks to Mike's generous donation!Islanders Assist/Impact Player Program
The Islanders Assist/Impact Player Program will allow fans to raise money and create awareness for a cause that is very important to them by selling vouchers that can be exchanged for Islanders tickets. Fans will fundraise with each ticket voucher sold and will be eligible to receive recognition during an Islanders game, receive free tickets to future games, merchandise, prizes and more. New York Islanders Kids Club
The New York Islanders Kids Club is geared for fans 14 and younger who are looking to become a member of the New York Islanders team. Available at three levels fans are given team upda tes, Islanders goodies, discounts to the team store, and tickets to upcoming games. To become a member register by clicking here.

New York Islanders Community Town Nights
The New York Islanders are dedicated to the fans of Long Island. Throughout the course of the 2009-2010 season the Islanders will be holding specific township nights in order to honor the residents of Long Island.
