Islanders Children’s Foundation Golf Outing

The annual ICF Golf Outing gives fans the opportunity to spend the day with some of their favorite current and former Islanders players. Players, coaches and alumni hit the links with fans at a prestigious Long Island golf course prior to the start of Training Camp. More than $60,000 was raised at the 2010-11 season outing and over $80,000 was raised at the beginning of the 2011-2012 season.

ICF Day at Adventureland

ICF Day at Adventureland brings the entire team roster up close and personal with fans on the weekend before the regular season begins. Players sit at autograph tables throughout the park, take pictures, speak with fans and go on rides with kids in the crowd. Fans in attendance also have complete access to Adventureland Amusement Park for the entire day. More than $8,000 was raised at the 2010-11 ICF Adventureland Day and that increased to over $15,000 at the beginning of the 2011-2012 season.

Blue and White Scrimmages

(Mini-Camp & Rookie Camp)

Every off-season, the Islanders host their Blue and White Scrimmage. During the month of July, the Islanders hold mini-camp, which features young draftees and free agents who face off in front of the Nassau Coliseum faithful, in addition to Islanders coaches and scouts. Once Rookie Camp arrives in September, the team’s rookies play a scrimmage before Training Camp begins. The past two years, the team’s rookies have played against the rookies of the Boston Bruins. For both contests, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales fund the ICF. More than $30,000 was raised through the scrimmages last season.

Draft Party

As a kickoff to the summer each offseason the Islanders host a party at the Nassau Coliseum where fans can come watch the NHL Draft taking place live on the video board.  This fan fest style event gives Islanders fans the opportunity to meet players and alumni as well as try interactive games and hear live news from our hockey operations staff right from the teams draft table.  The 2012 NHL Draft will be taking place on Friday, June 22nd.

Casino Night

As The Islanders held their first annual Casino Night in February, 2012.  Islanders fans had a chance to try their luck at some popular casino games like black jack, poker and roulette while getting up close and personal with members of the Islanders team.  This fun filled evening featured games, auctions, and other great prizes.  More than $120,000 was raised for the I.C.F.  at the 2011-2012 event.
