Islanders Children’s Foundation Golf Outing

The annual ICF Golf Outing gives fans the opportunity to spend the day with some of their favorite Islanders, past and present. During the 2013-14 season the entire Islanders team, coaching staff and alumni members hit the links with foursomes of fans at Bethpage State Park prior to the start of training camp in September 2013. The Bethpage Red course has hosted this fundraising event for the past three seasons and raised more than $125K at the September 2013 event.

ICF Day at Adventureland

ICF Day at Adventureland brings the entire Islanders roster up close and personal to the fans at the start of the season. Players sit at autograph tables throughout the park, take pictures, speak with fans and hop on select rides with kids in the crowd. Fans that attend the event have complete access to Adventureland Amusement Park for the entire day. The team raised more than $20,000 at the 2013-14 ICF Day event.

Blue and White Scrimmages

(Mini-Camp & Rookie Camp)

Every off-season, the Islanders host their Orange and Blue Scrimmage. During the month of July, the Islanders hold mini-camp, which features young draftees and the organization’s prospects who face off in front of Islanders fans, in addition to Islanders coaches and scouts. A portion of the proceeds from the annual scrimmage funds the ICF.  More than $25,000 was raised during the July 2013 event.

Draft Party

As a kickoff to the summer each offseason the Islanders host a party at Nassau Coliseum where fans can come watch the NHL Draft live on the video board. This fan fest-style event gives Islanders fans the opportunity to meet players and alumni as well as try interactive games and hear live news from our hockey operations staff right from the team's draft table.

Casino Night

The Islanders held their second casino night in March 2014. Fans had a chance to try their luck at popular casino games like Blackjack, Poker and Roulette, while mingling with members of the Islanders who were the dealers.  This fun-filled evening featured games, auctions, and other great prizes in addition to the Casino. The ICF has raised more than $220,000 in the first two casino night fundraisers.

This playoff season, New York Islanders players, front office staff and fans participated in the NHL playoffs like never before. The New York Islanders BEARD-A-THON® gave fans the chance to grow their own playoff beard and raise money for charity. Proceeds from the 2013 New York Islanders BEARD-A-THON®  benefited the Islanders Children’s Foundation.
Participants encouraged their family and friends to support their playoff beards. By joining the Islanders BEARD-A-THON®, fans pledged to maintain their beard as long as their team advances in the playoffs. More than $5,000 was raised for the ICF. More info

Smash Car

Islanders Fans also had the chance to participate in “Smash Car” during the postseason. Located on the plaza outside Nassau Coliseum, fans had the opportunity to put their mark on the opposing team’s colors and logo by taking a sledgehammer to a car donated by E.W.G. Recycling and TNT Scrap. All proceeds from this playoff fundraiser went directly to the ICF.
