Appeared in eight of Carolina’s 23 post-season games and played in the Stanley Cup Finals for the second time in his five NHL seasons…Played in four of Carolina’s six first-round games vs. Montreal, one tilt vs. New Jersey in the Eastern Conference semifinals and three of seven games in the Stanley Cup Finals.

2002: Played in all 23 playoff games for Carolina as the club advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals…Scored an overtime game-winner in Game 5 of the 2002 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals vs. New Jersey. 


Led Slavia Praha (Czech Republic Extraleague) in scoring (20g-23a-43pts) in 2004-05…Captured a gold medal with the Czech Republic at the 2005 World Championships and also represented the Czechs at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey Played for the Czech Republic at the 2003 World Championships… 

Played two OHL seasons (1998-2000) with Sault Ste. Marie, posting 128 points (47g-81a) in 120 games…Served as Sault Ste. Marie’s captain and was the team’s co-Playoff MVP in 1999-00…Led the Greyhounds in assists (46) and finished second in points (26g-46a-72pts) in 1999-00…Won a gold medal with the Czech Republic at the 2000 World Junior Championships…Nominated for the OHL Rookie of the Year award in 1998-99.

Enjoys playing tennis, golf and skiing…Spends the off-season in his hometown of Havlickuv Brod, Czech Republic…Favorites include: Friends (TV show), Green Day and Czech rock bands (band/musician), George Clooney and Jennifer Aniston (actor/actress), Czech (food) and Puerto Rico (vacation spot)…Winning the Stanley Cup in 2006 is his favorite hockey memory.
