Traded to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim by NY Rangers, along with a fourth-round pick in the 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft (Brett Bruneteau), in exchange for Steve Rucchin on August 23, 2005. Signed as a free agent by the Carolina Hurricanes on July 2, 2007.

Established career highs in goals (2), points (2), penalty minutes (165), shots (9) and games played (39) during his second season with the Islanders…Ranked second on the team in penalty minutes and third in major penalties (15)…Scored his first-career goal on Jan. 13 vs. Ottawa (R. Appeared in seven Calder Cup Playoff games with Albany, tallying 19 penalty minutes. 2006: Skated in four Calder Cup Playoff games with Portland. 2001: Made his professional playoff debut with Worcester, recording 24 penalty minutes in six Calder Cup Playoff games.

Spent time with three organizations in the Ontario Hockey League: the Oshawa Generals, Sarnia Sting and North Bay Centennials, combining to score 22 points (7g/15a) during those years.
