Split time between Detroit and Grand Rapids of the AHL…Played in six games with Detroit, going scoreless and compiling nine penalty minutes…In 68 games with Grand Rapids, ranked third on the team in goals with 18 and tied for fifth in points with 31…His 222 PIM was nearly a 100 more than the next closest player on the team.

2004-05: Finished fifth on Grand Rapids with 14 goals while appearing in a career-high 78 games…His team-high 336 PIM placed fourth in the AHL and ranked as the fourth-highest single-season total in franchise history…Also led the team with six game-winning goals, equaling the fourth-highest total by a Griffin…Scored in overtime to give Grand Rapids a 3-2 win, 3/5/05 at Chicago.

2003-04: Shared Grand Rapids’ lead with 175 PIM…Set a franchise record with 29 PIM during a single period, Jan. 23 vs. San Antonio…Made his NHL debut with Detroit, Nov. 8 vs. Nashville…Recorded his first NHL point during a 6-2 win, Nov. 12 at Dallas, assisting on Steve Thomas’ game-winning goal…Tallied his first NHL goal, the game-winner, in a 7-1 win, Nov. 26 vs. Edmonton (Ty Conklin).

2002-03: Made his AHL debut with Grand Rapids, helping the team win the Central Division and finish with the best record in the Western Conference…After appearing in 16 games with Grand Rapids during the regular season, led the team and finished fifth in the AHL with 46 PIM in 15 playoff contests…Made his pro debut with ECHL Toledo, scoring 36 points (17-19-36) in 54 games to help the Storm post the league’s best regular season record…Paced Toledo and finished fourth in the ECHL with 322 PIM. 2001-02: Helped OHL St. Michael’s win the Central Division title…Led the team with 41 goals, 56 assists and 97 points – all highs as an amateur – and finished runner-up with 137 PIM…During the playoffs, tied for the Majors’ lead with eight goals, ranked third with 10 assists and tied for second with 18 points.

2000-01: Paced St. Michael’s (OHL) with 32 goals…Runner-up on the team with 65 points and tied for third with 33 assists.

1999-00: Tied for St. Michael’s lead with 24 goals, while ranking third with 30 assists and 54 points. 1998-99: Named to the OHL All-Rookie Second Team after scoring 30 goals for St. Michael’s and Barrie…Appeared in 66 games, his most as an amateur.
