ISLANDERS TRANSACTIONS: Selected by the Islanders in the third round (62nd overall) of the 2007 National Hockey League Draft.

Signed with Berlin of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga on July 4, 2012.

LAST SEASON: Suffered a shoulder injury during training camp and underwent surgery, returning for 14 games at the end of his third professional season...Was removed from Injured Reserve and loaned to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League on Feb. 27...Made his season debut on Mar. 4 at Providence...Finished the season with four assists.

Led all Bridgeport defensemen in scoring with 30 points (4g/26a) in 63 games during his second AHL season…Also played in his first 11 NHL games with the Islanders, recording one assist…With Bridgeport, recorded his first multi-point game of the season with two assists on Oct. 17 vs. Portland…Scored goals in back-to-back games on Jan. 5-7 vs. Providence and at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton…Recorded points in eight-of-10 games from Jan. 5-25… Earned his first NHL call-up on Feb. 24 and tallied his first NHL point/assist that night at Philadelphia…Returned on loan to Bridgeport on Mar. 6…Recalled from Bridgeport on Mar. 29 and remained with the Islanders for the final six games of the season.

2009-10: In his first professional season, scored 14 points (3g/11a) in 48 games with Bridgeport...Selected to the 2010 AHL All-Star Game, but could not participate due to injury.

Appeared in 67 games, including four playoff games, with the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League...Led Sarnia defensemen in goals (13), assists (41), points (54), power-play goals (7) and plus-minus rating (+12)...Named to the OHL Western Conference All-Star Team...Added a goal and six penalty minutes in the postseason.

2007-08: Played in 45 games with Sarnia during his third OHL season, scoring 31 points (5g/26a)...Ranked fourth on the team with a plus-11 rating and sixth in assists...Played in six playoff games and added another three assists.

2006-07: Appeared in a career-high 68 games with Sarnia, notching five goals and 35 assists...Tied for fifth on the team with a plus-8 rating...Named to the OHL Western Conference All-Star Team.

2005-06: In his rookie campaign with Sarnia, recorded 34 points (5g/29a) in 51 games...Ranked fourth on the team in assists.
