2006-07: Selected by Mississauga in the first round (third overall) of the 2007 OHL Draft...Played minor hockey for West Mall, the Mississauga Reps/Ice Dogs and the Toronto Avalanche...With the Mississauga Icedogs Minor Midget AAA, he scored 106 points in 77 games. INTERNATIONAL:
Helped Canada win the silver medal at the 2011 World Junior Championships in Buffalo, NY, scoring two goals and one assist in seven games.
2013: Made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut, scoring four points (2g/2a) in six games during the Islanders’ Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against Pittsburgh.
