ISLANDERS TRANSACTIONS: Selected by the Islanders in the third round (63rd overall) of the 2011 National Hockey League Draft. Agreed to terms on an Entry-Level Contract on April 3, 2013.

LAST SEASON: Established career highs in goals (10), assists (30) and points (40) during his second season with the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League...Co-led Guelph defensemen in goals and ranked second in scoring...Led the team with 152 penalty minutes...Added four points (1g/3a) in six OHL Playoff games.

CAREER:
2010-11: Scored 12 points (2g/10a) in 51 games during his first season with Guelph…Recorded an assist in all six of Guelph’s playoff games, totaling eight in the postseason…Had three two-assist games during the regular season…Selected in the first round (32nd overall) of the 2010 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft.
