ISLANDERS TRANSACTIONS: Selected by the Islanders in the sixth round (155th overall) of the 2012 National Hockey League Draft.

LAST SEASON:  Split his fourth season in the Ontario Hockey League between the Niagara IceDogs and Saginaw Spirit, establishing career highs in goals (11), assists (43) and points (54) in 66 games...Tied for fourth among OHL defensemen in points...Traded from Niagara to Saginaw in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection, a second-round pick in 2015 and a third-round pick in 2017...Recorded three assists in five playoff games with Saginaw...Signed an amateur-tryout agreement with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, scoring four points (1g/3a) in seven games...Made his professional debut on Apr. 5 at Adirondack and recorded his first professional assist/point...Scored his first professional goal on Apr. 11 at Albany.

JUNIOR:  2012-13: Finished second among Niagara IceDogs defensemen in scoring with 39 points (4g/35a) in 68 games during his third season in the OHL...Tied for second on the team in assists...Recorded a career-high 48 penalty minutes...Had four multi-point games, including two three-point (1g/2a) games...Posted a five-game assist streak (5a) from Nov. 30 - Dec. 13...Added three assists in five OHL playoff games.  2011-12: Finished second among Niagara defensemen in scoring with 41 points (4g/37a) in 68 games during his second season in the OHL...Posted a plus-25 rating...Recorded seven multi-point games, including two three-point efforts...Also ranked second among defensemen in playoff scoring with 10 points (1g/9a) in 20 games, as Niagara made it to the OHL Finals.  2010-11: Finished second among Niagara defensemen in scoring with 18 points (1g/17a) in 63 games during his rookie OHL season...His plus-27 rating also ranked second among Niagara defensemen...Added nine points (1g/8a) in 14 OHL Playoff games, finishing second among team defensemen...Represented Canada-Ontario at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, scoring six points (1g/5a) in five games to help his team to a gold medal...Named to the OHL First All-Rookie Team. 2009-10: Scored 88 points (14g/74a) in 84 games with the Toronto Nationals Minor Midget team of the Greater Toronto Hockey League.
