Matt MoulsonJust eight players in the NHL have more goals this season than Moulson, who’s 24 tallies lead the Islanders. Moulson spent his first three professional seasons in the Kings organization, including his first 29 career NHL games. Since joining the Islanders as a free agent prior to the 2009-10 season, Moulson has been the model of consistency; he has not missed a game in his Islanders career (217 straight games) and is six goals shy of his third consecutive 30-goal season; no Islander since Ziggy Palffy has accomplished that feat. The North York, ON, native has three goals in four career games against his former NHL team. |
Anze KopitarAlready in his sixth full NHL season with the Kings, the 24-year-old Kopitar leads Los Angeles in scoring with 48 points (17 goals, 31 assists) in 55 games. He carries a three-game point streak into today’s contest, with two goals and one assist during that stretch. The first round (11th overall) pick in 2005 also leads all Kings forwards in icetime (21:48) and power play goals (7). He’s posted at least 20 goals and 60 points every year since he was an 18-year-old rookie. |

The Isles leading goal scorer has three career tallies against Quick. Laying Out: The Islanders lead the NHL with 922 blocked shots. Andrew MacDonald owns 123 of those, good for ninth in the NHL, while Travis Hamonic’s 115 blocked shots ranks tied for 14th in the league. |

![]() Head coach Jack Capuano on the team's recent scoring struggles: “I thought the Wallace line had some chances and the Josh (Bailey), Matty (Martin) and Rhett (Rakhshani) line had chances as well. We had 21 chances in the game, but it took us the whole game to score a goal.”
