Anders Nilsson stopped all 24 shots he faced as the Islanders beat the Devils 1-0 on Mar. 4 at Nassau Coliseum. Nilsson became the first Islanders goalie to record a shutout on his first career win and Kyle  Okposo powered his way through traffic to score the game-winning goal at 2:39 of the second period.

Jack Capuano on what the Islanders need to do against the Devils: "They have great separation in their offensive zone play. They have the ability to puck protect so well. You're going to have to do a good job blocking pucks becuase they are going to have puck possession. They are going to hem you in and they are going to have extended zone time. we have to make sure we play the interior and branch out and block lanes."
