Family Fan Fest Pitches In At Cross Walk for Disaster Relief

Despite the unpleasant weather the night before and the chilliness of the morning, the Islanders Family Fan Fest made its way to Eisenhower Park to be a part of the American Red Cross’s first-ever “Cross Walk For Disaster Relief.” The 5-kilometer walkathon helped raise $5,000 so far for the American Red Cross in Nassau County, which helps those unfortunate residents who lose their homes to fires or other disasters right here in Nassau County. Got Skills Competition at Islanders Iceworks

While the Islanders took the ice on Monday night and defeated the highly talented Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1, Islanders Iceworks in Syosset was holding a friendly Got Skills competition for the Squirts and Pee Wees of the rink. Got Skills is the ultimate challenge for Squirt and Pee Wee age youth ice hockey players. Read more here.
