School Assembly Program Visits Mt. Sinai Elementary School 10/30/2007  
 

The "We're All Islanders" School Assembly Program made a stop at Mt. Sinai Elementary School on Monday, October 29th to help spread the important message of working as a team to over 350 students.  Eric Cairns and Steve Mears hosted the assembly, explaining to the children just how important it is to work together as a team in order to accomplish the goals set before themselves.

Family Fan Fest Visits The Bethpage Halloween Street Fair

On Sunday, October 28th, the Islanders Family Fan Fest made a stop at the Bethpage Halloween Street Fair.  Fans were able to come to the fair held just off Powell Avenue in Bethpage from 10am to 5pm and enjoy music, boutiques, entertainment, and of course, the New York Islanders.

Sparky's Spooky Halloween Mask Raffle

Join us on Saturday, October 27th for Sparky's Spooky Halloween Mask Raffle. While the Islanders take on the Carolina Hurricanes don't miss your opportunity to buy a raffle ticket for a chance to take home a Halloween mask created and autographed by one of you favorite New York Islanders players. For only $5 a ticket don't miss your chance to take home one of these Halloween masterpieces. The raffle will take place when the doors open at 6:00pm and it will end at the drop of the puck of the 3rd period. So make sure to come down and purchase your tickets. All proceeds go to the Islander's Children Foundation.

Richard Park @ Citizenship Ceremony

On October 26th Richard Park will attending the Citizenship Ceremony being held in the town of Stony Brook on October 26th. Park will be onsite to show his support for everyone in attendance at the ceremony.


 
 

Ted Nolan @ Canstruction Event

On October 25th Ted Nolan will be attending the Canstruction Event being held at RexCorp plaza from 3pm to 4pm. Coach Nolan will be a guest judge for this event.


 
 

Dubie visits St. Patrick's

Wade Dubielewicz took time after practice to visit the children at St. Patrick's Youth Center in Smithtown.  Dubie arrived at St. Patrick's with a line of children waiting for him so that they could get the goaltenders autograph and a picture. All the children at St. Patrick's were thrilled that Dubie came out to spend the afternoon with them.  "It is great to be able to meet the young fans of the Islanders.  I am happy I was able to come out and make the day a good one for the kids," said Dubielewicz.

Dubie at Team Store

Wade Dubielewicz took time out of his schedule to take a visit to the Islanders Team Store in the Broadway Mall.  When Dubie arrived to the mall he was greeted by over one hundred fans eager to get his autograph.  Fans young and old came out for a chance to meet the new Islanders goaltender.  “It was great to see so many fans come down to the store today,” said Dubielewicz.  Fans came down with all different memorabilia for Dubie to sign.  From autograph cards, to jerseys, to bobbleheads Dubie signed them all.  Make sure to visit www.newyorkislanders.com to see what player will be signing autographs at the team store next month.

The "We're All Islanders" school assembly program also made a stop at Nathaniel Woodhull Elementary on Monday, October 22nd.  Over 800 students learned about the importance of teamwork from former Islander Alumni Steve Webb and his old teammate, Eric Cairns.

New York Islanders Season Ticket Holder Event

Season ticketholders who traveled to Eisenhower Park on Sunday afternoon to meet Garth Snow, Ted Nolan and the entire Islanders team couldn't have asked for a better day. With the sun shining and the temperature hovering in the 70s all afternoon, the Islanders' most loyal fans were the honored guests at their well deserved Season Ticketholder Party.

Hockey Fights Cancer Night

On October 20th the Islanders will be hosting Hockey Fights Cancer Night. The 2007-2008 season marks the 10th Anniversary of Hockey Fights Cancer. To help raise awareness, all NHL players will be wearing a pink Hockey Fights Cancer decal on their helmets during the month of October. You can help join the fight on October 20th by coming out to the game. Throughout the night there will be various fundraising initiatives taking place to help support this cause. Family Fan Fest @ Grand Re Opening of Long Beach Ice Rink

Family Fan Fest @ Plainview Fire Department

On October 14th from 12pm to 3pm the Islanders Family Fan Fest will be visiting the Plainview Fire Department for their "open house". The Islanders mascot Sparky as well as the Ice Girls will be in attendance to meet all of their fans. Make sure to stop by the open house to show support for your local fire department as well as to go home with some great Islanders prizes.


 
 

Family Fan Fest @ Autism Speaks Walk

The Islanders Family Fan Fest will be set up from 9am to 11am at Jones Beach for the Autism Speaks Walk on October 14th . Make sure to stop by field 5 and show your support for such a good cause. The Islanders slapshot booth will be set up for all to try. We look forward to seeing you there.


 
 

Islanders Family Fan Fest at Oyster Festival

On Saturday and Sunday, October 13th and 14th, the Islanders Family Fan Fest was on location at the Oyster Festival held in Oyster Bay. The festival, which had over 120,000 visitors over the course of the weekend, was full of great food, attractions, and of course, the Islanders. Read more here.


 
 

Ice Girls @ Boys Scouts Camporee

The Islanders Ice Girls will be taking part in the Boys Scouts Camporee on October 13th being held at Hecksher State Park in Islip. All Islanders fans in attendance will get a chance to take pictures and get autographs from the Ice Girls.

On October 7th everyone's favorite mascot, Sparky, will be visiting Dave and Busters in Farmingdale. Make sure to stop by Dave and Busters and say hello to Sparky if you are in the airport shopping center. Sparky will be at Dave and Busters from 2pm to 3pm.


 
 

Family Fan Fest @ Huntington Street Festival

The Islanders Ice Girls will be visiting Dave and Busters in Westbury on October 5th to kick off the Islanders 2007-2008 hockey season. The Ice Girls will be signing autographs and taking pictures for all their fans from 2pm to 3pm.
