Josh Bailey
Bailey has been on an absolute tear, racking up 12 points (3g/9a) during a six-game point streak. He had a hand in all five Islanders goals during Thursday’s 5-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins and he totaled eight points (2g/6a) during the home-and-home set.  Thursday’s five-point affair was the first of Bailey’s professional career.

Bailey’s hot hands have rubbed off on his linemates, as Kyle Okposo has five goals in four games, and Frans Nielsen has seven points (3g/4a) in his last four contests.
Brian Rolston
Rolston has found his game since joining the Bruins at February’s trade deadline. Although he started out with one point in his first nine games with Boston, Rolston then put together a seven-game point streak (Mar. 15-27), totaling 12 points (3g/9a).
Playing on a line with Chris Kelly and Benoit Pouliot, Rolston’s best game came against the Toronto Maple Leafs, when he scored one goal and added three assists. His streak was broken in Thursday’s 3-2 shootout loss to the Washington Capitals.
Team Streak: The Islanders have won three straight and are 5-1-0 in their last six games. They look to go over NHL .500 for the first time since October 20th, and for the first time this late in the season since 2007.

Secondary Scoring: The Islanders have scored 10 goals in the last two games without getting a point from the Moulson/Tavares/Parenteau line. The line of Bailey-Nielsen-Okposo has combined for 16 points over the last two games (Bailey 2g/6a, Okposo 3g/1a, Nielsen 2g/2a).

1,000 Games: Steve Staios has played in 997 career NHL games. He’s expected to reach 1,000 on April 3rd in New Jersey.
John Tavares’ third period winner propelled the Islanders past the Bruins 3-2 at TD Garden on Mar. 3. Tavares and Matt Moulson each had a goal and an assist, while Josh Bailey scored his 10th goal of the season. Frans Nielsen recorded two assists while Evgeni Nabokov made 32 saves for the win. Milan Lucic and Tyler Seguin scored for the Bruins and Brian Rolston picked up an assist against his former team.

Head Coach Jack Capuano on the team’s secondary scoring: "The wins that we’ve had recently, it’s been because of secondary scoring. It’s really good to see some of the guys that struggled earlier on in the year, scoring some goals. I think his teammates complement one another really well."
